OVERPRINTING VARNISHES

- Offset overprinting varnish – 900/500,
is oil based and used for varnishing prints.
The over-varnishing is carried out on the printing group of the offset printing machine after it has been very well washed.
It can be carried out after the drying of the prints or wet/wet.

Benefits:
·Gives the prints gloss and abrasion resistance
·The film does not turn the print yellow.
·Fast drying

Recommendations:
They are used at the delivered viscosity on a group of printing inks of the offset printing machine.
Due to the fact that this product dries fast the printing machine should not stop for more then 5-10 minutes. If longer stops of the printing machine are required, the rollers of the varnishing group should be washed with the usual washing substance or the antisiccative solution should be applied on the rollers.
When resuming printing a few waste sheets should be introduced in the machine to clean it from the antisiccative solution.
If the substrate is too absorbent and a higher gloss is desired, 2 layers of varnish can be applied in two consecutive passes through the machine. A reducer 955/100 at approximately 5-10% is recommended.

- Offset Varnish Admacril – 900/550
is water based and used for varnishing prints carried out on sheetfed offset printing machines provided with a special varnishing group.

Benefits:
·Very fast, almost instant drying
·Calendar gloss
·The film does not turn the print yellow
·Abrasion resistant

Recommendations:
The product can be reduced with water at the adequate consistence (5-10%) allowed by the pumping system.

PRINTING ACCESSORIES for Offset Printing Inks

Printing Paste 900/200
It is used in order to reduce the sticking of the printing ink, especially when printing with high-speed machines. A maximum of 3-5% is to be added.

Anti-mackling Paste 900/400
It is used in order to reduce the mackling effect. To be added max. 3-5%.

Fast Siccative 900/300
It is used in order to accelerate the oxidative drying in the case of substrates with low absorption. A maximum of 0.2-0.5% is to be added.

Mixed Siccative 900/310
It is used for improving the drying conditions. A maximum of 0.2-0.5% is to be added.

Varnish Offset Lux 900/600
A maximum of 10% of reducing varnish is added in order to reduce the intensity of the printing inks or to increase the gloss.

Component Varnish II for Metallic Printing Inks 900/650
It is used as a second component in metallic printing inks (the first component is the bronze paste). It can be used as a protection layer after printing on duplex cardboard, used for making packaging by punching and gluing (allows gluing with adhesive of the printed cardboard surfaces).

Reducer Offset Lux 910/200
It is used to reduce the glossy offset printing inks – reducing their viscosity with a view to adjusting them to higher printing speeds. A maximum of 5% is to be added.

Washing Substance 910/220
It is used to clean the ink rollers of the offset printing machine, plate and blanket. It provides protection of the rollers and the machine.

Antisiccative Substance 910/010
It is used for spraying on the ink rollers of the offset printing machine when the machine stops for more than 1/2 - 1 hour in order to avoid drying of the ink. It is recommended especially for the series SUPER-SET and OFFSET-CART.

Roller Cleaning Paste 900/210
It is used for cleaning the inking rollers when the printing machine stops for a longer time. After cleaning, the paste can be left on the rollers, as it also has a protecting role.

Moisturizing Water Agent 900/850
It is introduces in the moisturizing water at the offset printing machine in order to provide the moisturizing water/printing ink balance during printing and to reduce the emulsification effect. Usually a maximum of 8-15% is added.

Abdek 900/700
It is applied with the brush in order to correct defaults of the film before copying.
